Online Studies on PANDA

PANDA is a virtual lab that allows parents to do studies online with their children in the comfort of their own home. Families can earn Amazon gift cards for each session. See below for all of our active studies. Click on a study to register for our virtual lab, and then you can participate anytime!


We have several studies online for children and teens that you can participate in. All you need is a computer and a webcam. Not only is it a fun and easy way to help out with science, but after you finish the study you will earn a $10 Amazon gift card! See below for all of our active studies.

Learning About Categories

Duration: 15 - 20 minutes each

Age Range: 3.5 - 5.99 years old

What We’re Studying: We're interested in learning about how children learn and think about different kinds of categories!

Conversations About People

Duration: 3 Sessions, 15 - 20 minutes each

Age Range: 3 - 5 years old

What We’re Studying: We are studying how parents and children talk and think about people. This is a 3-part study. Study session 1 is for parents and children together, session 2 is just for kids, and session 3 is just for parents!

Learning Through Stories

Duration: 15 minutes

Age Range: 4.5 - 7.9 years old

What We’re Studying: In this study, we are interested in how children learn about people through stories! Children will first listen to a short story, and then will be asked questions about the people in it.


Neighborhoods and Friendships

Duration: 10 - 15 minutes

Age Range: 4 - 8 years old

What We’re Studying: We are interested in how children think about making friends and what children think about their neighborhoods and the people around them.
