Research assistants who volunteer in our lab are trained to work in research settings. Here they will acquire a theoretical background in conceptual development and social cognition in addition to gaining hands-on experience conducting studies and working with data. Undergraduate research assistants also choose to conduct independent projects, which many receive university funding for. Individuals are expected to contribute up to 10 hours per week to the lab during the academic year and to attend weekly lab meetings. Research assistants must have weekend availability for data collection and be able to commit to at least two semesters in the lab. We also encourage students to contribute 10-15 hours per week to the lab over the summer months.
